As a teacher technology is continuously affecting my teaching style, as well as the lessons that are planned. Students today are being raised around technology, and as technology continues to improve, I as the teacher need to improve my skills at the same rate. I will forever be learning new activities, as well as software’s to use in the classroom to make learning more enjoyable and productive for my students. The over all goal is that I learn from my students, but also I need to be able to teach them new skills as well.
My students are being raised around technology, and most their education so far has incorporated technology. In my classroom I plan on incorporating technology into most the lessons I plan. As my students, they will continue to use technology they are familiar with, but also incorporate new technology. My students will use technology not only for fun, but for learning purposes as well. I will provide websites, and online activities they can do at home with their families to keep the information fresh in their minds.
It is very easy to plagiarize. Before taking IST 396 I thought I knew a lot about plagiarism and how to avoid it, but the truth is I don’t. I will emphasize how important it is to not plagiarize as well as what is considered plagiarism. I will teach them that if they are using anything that is not their own work they must cite it, this includes phrases, ideas, and even images. I will also teach them how to look for sources to cite on a website, journal, or any piece of work online or in print. I was shocked at how much I really did not know about plagiarism after taking this class. I want to make sure my future students are more prepared then I was.

Techlearning.com is a great website all about technology and education. It has many articles, resources, and videos for teachers to access in order to keep current with technology in the classroom. What I like about this website is that they provide video based training on how to do certain things with our technology. If you want to learn how to use certain programs on an iPad just go to this website and search the training videos.
